May News
Greeting to all. The last couple of months have been eventful after a 3 day visit to the Jones's down at Beachport and the odd country drives. I haven't done much in the smith but I did finish my feature gate and fence and it came up very nice. I've included some photos of the progress.

Site Preparation......................... Branches and leaves

2 dog spikes............ Setting in the scrolls
The final Installation.
I still have the latch and limit plate to make.
In other news, we had our bi monthly meeting of SAFBA at Mt Barker and nutted out the working bee for the up comng workshop at Bazzas place to experience the making of tongs and forge welding. We are all looking forward to getting the lo down on forge welding. We didn't get much of a chance to do it during the course.
On that note, we have finally received our diplomas. I guess it's better late than never.
Yesterday, Chris, Wayne and myself rocked up to Kirstys workshop for our usual Tuesday workshop and had a play around making snakes and leaves. You can never have too many leaves.
Kirsty has a good set up to work with and plenty of room for any large jobs she may take on.
Our teahouse is slowly coming along. I have the solar panel and battery installed and it cranks out 40 volts in bright sunlight. I still have the lights to install but thats easy peasy compared to the rest of it.
Our rain tanks are still a few months away from delivery and will be delivered at the mid winter period so I hope we can catch some rain. I hate seeing it go down the drain.
Other than that theres not much more to say, so, until next time....
