2009 so far...
Time seems to be racing along at the moment. So far this year we have moved our sons gear up to Alice and got him settled in. We have inherited his cat Ebony. She's beautiful and talkative and demanding. In other words, a typical cat.
Blacksmithing has been very slow and I have only started getting up to Angaston again for a couple of Sundays. Chris and I are working on some small projects to make up there in the limited time available to us.
The backyard has been keeping me busy with the amazing amount of trash that the huge gum trees are dropping in this hot dry weather. I have a good collection of bark to start the wood fire with.
We have lost a lot of plants, as have most of the Adelaidians. Nobody is watering around our way. The rain tanks have come in handy.
I haven't put down any beer for a very long time and the stocks are running low. I will have to rectify that ASAP.
We are planning a trip to Alice soon to catch up with our son and have a good look around. I intend to go berserk with the camera.
Speaking of the camera, I found a home for my Medium format cameras and equipment. It gave me a bad feeling having it sit around doing nothing.
I have managed to download all of my photos from our Glenreagh trip onto Flickr. Here is the URL

I will add more stuff as time goes by.
MSTS tinkerings are continuing. I have finalised my modeling efforts for the Glenreagh line and sent it all off to the route author. As soon as he sends me a copy, I can begin the process of laying track from Lowanna to Dorrigo. In the meantime, I began laying track for the Eyre Penisula. There is 800 kilometres of track and a lot of modeling to do, so it should be fun, barring any disasters with the Route Editor.
Other than that it's steady as she goes.
Till next time.
